56 Leonard Tribeca
New York, NY 10013
56 Leonard Street is a residential condominium tower in the Tribeca Historic District of downtown Manhattan. The building is the first skyscraper by its internationally renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron of Basel, Switzerland. Every one of the 145 residences at 56 Leonard Street has its own unique floor plan and private outdoor space, articulated in a veritable cascade of individual homes that bring outdoors and indoors seamlessly together in a vertical sculptural expression. With articulated surfaces, cantilevers, profiled slab edges and panoramic views of Manhattan, its flanking rivers, and New York Harbor as far as the Atlantic Ocean, Herzog & de Meuron’s 60-story building is a daring and globally inflected re-interpretation of the American skyscraper archetype.
56 Leonard Street will include a monumental site-specific sculpture by acclaimed London-based artist Anish Kapoor, integrated completely into the building’s base—Kapoor’s first permanent public work in New York City.
Residences at 56 Leonard Street range in size from 1,430 square feet to 6,380 square feet. The building comprises of two-to-five-bedroom homes with soaring ceilings and up to 14-foot floor-to-ceiling glass window walls onto breathtaking vistas. Ten penthouses create the crown of 56 Leonard Street: eight full-floor homes and two half-floor homes with expanses of outdoor space. All interiors have been custom designed by Herzog & de Meuron.
56 Leonard Street offers a range of amenities. The Leonard Collection includes a fitness center and spa with wet and dry facilities; indoor/outdoor infinity edge pool with Tribeca views and landscaped sundeck; media lounge; private dining/conference room for special events; and a programmed Tribeca Tot Room for children’s play and family activities.
